Retail Store Manager
£25,734 - £30,149 plus benefits

Contract: 6 months FTC
Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week
Location: Selby Shop

We're looking for a talented store manager to join our trading team. You’ll be an ambassador for Cancer Research UK, motivating your team to meet sales and fundraising targets. Your store will be a community hub where people learn about our work and see our impact. You’ll be surrounded by people equally dedicated to beating cancer.
What will I be doing?
* Guiding, inspiring, and engaging a team of paid staff and volunteers, including recruitment, retention, and development.
* Owning the commercial operation of your store, including display, merchandising, stock management, standards, layout, sales, and income.
* Leading by example and providing excellent customer and supporter service.
* Maximising profit through effective cost control and sales strategies.
* Building relationships with the local community and Cancer Research UK colleagues.
* Organising and running creative fundraising events to meet targets.
* Ensuring compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, security, administration, and HR policies.
* Performing manual handling and physical activities as part of daily duties.

* Ability to multi-task in a lively environment.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Commercial awareness.
* Knowledge of high street fashion retail.
* Adaptability and independence in changing situations.
* Understanding of item value and pricing.
* Flexibility to work on a rota basis, balancing business needs with personal life.
