About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Laser Cutting & Punching Supervisor with strong experience operating and supervising Amada laser and turret punch equipment. The successful candidate will lead daily production activities, ensure machine efficiency, maintain quality standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise day-to-day operations of Amada laser cutting machines and Amada turret punching machines.
* Plan, prioritize, and schedule workloads to meet production deadlines.
* Train, guide, and evaluate machine operators and production staff.
* Optimize machine performance and ensure proper setup, tooling, and program management.
* Monitor production quality, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
* Maintain safety standards and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
* Coordinate with engineering and maintenance teams for machine upkeep and improvements.
* Review drawings, nesting layouts, and CNC programs to ensure accuracy and material efficiency.
* Maintain accurate production records and reports.
Qualifications
* Proven experience operating or supervising Amada laser cutting and punching equipment (e.g., Amada ENSIS, FO series, EMK.
* Strong understanding of CNC programming, nesting software, and sheet metal fabrication processes.
* Minimum 3–5 years experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
* Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documents.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices is an asset.
