Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Residential Senior Carer at a Barchester care home, you will look after the diverse needs of residents to deliver quality, person‑centred care and support. You will lead a team of care staff, providing training, supervision and delegating duties on shift. You will support the administration and ordering of medication, review and update resident care plans and risk assessments, and liaise with GPs, district nursing teams, and resident family members. You will always respect residents' dignity and preferences while creating a warm, welcoming and vibrant environment.
ABOUT YOU
You have an NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care, and previous experience in a residential care setting. You demonstrate proven team leadership skills and the ability to make appropriate decisions to support residents' needs and wellbeing. Warm‑hearted, compassionate and committed to giving each resident individualised care and support are essential qualities. You are open to ongoing training to further your career and potentially progress to Care Practitioner, Care Community Lead or nursing pathways.
