Powerstock Primary School has been selected to be part of the Government's Breakfast Club Early Adopters Scheme and is seeking an additional dedicated and enthusiastic staff member to join our staff team as a Breakfast Club Supervisor. Being involved at this early stage provides a great opportunity to help shape provision for Breakfast Clubs.
The successful candidate will work alongside our existing Breakfast Club Supervisor and together will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Breakfast Club, ensuring a safe, welcoming and engaging environment for all children.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and support children during breakfast time.
* With the support of the Headteacher, plan and organise activities to engage children before the school day begins.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the club.
* Maintain a clean and orderly environment.
* Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and children.
Key Requirements:
* Experience working with children of a First or Primary school age.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to create a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
* First Aid certification (desirable).

The pro rata salary shown is based on the number of hours and weeks worked and includes appropriate paid annual leave and bank holiday entitlements.
The salary quoted is the annual salary for the position at the time of advert. The salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving part way through the school year to ensure the correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year.

Keeping Children Safe in Education
Powerstock Primary School will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
