About the Role
As the Procurement Officer, you will provide support on procurement activities, to ensure the timely acquisition of goods and services required for the successful execution of projects within RIBA.
You will work closely with the Head of procurement, internal teams and external suppliers to meet programme requirements, while maintaining cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
1. Support in the Identification and evaluation of suppliers, negotiation of contracts, and supplier relationships, to ensure the timely delivery of goods and services.
2. Collaborate with programme stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and support on the development of plans to meet them within budgetary constraints.
3. Support the Head of Procurement in the sourcing process, soliciting of bids or proposals, and the evaluation of suppliers.
4. Support on the drafting, negotiation, and management of contracts throughout the procurement lifecycle to ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
5. Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks to minimise disruptions to the programme.
6. Monitor supplier performance against established KPIs and take corrective action as needed.
7. Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
8. Prepare regular reports on procurement performance and analyse data to inform decision-making.
What are we looking for?
Essential
9. Relevant experience in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
10. Good understanding of procurement principles and practices.
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
12. Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis.
13. Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
14. Resourceful approach to teamwork and stakeholder management
15. Strong confidence in IT Systems and excellent Excel skills
