This business provides a tailored logistics service worldwide including air, ocean and road.
The General Manager will provide strategic leadership on site to achieve operational excellence through all aspects of our people, financial, operation and processes to enable an efficient and cost-effective service from the Stoke site.
1. Full financial responsibility for the site.
2. Manage all site performance, making sure the operation runs effectively and efficiently.
3. Promote and implement a continuous improvement programme, to make sure service levels maintain a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
4. Liaise with central functions - such as HR, Finance, European Operations and Transport - to ensure operational activities are co-ordinated in achieving site KPIs and targets.
5. Work in partnership with the Head of UK transport for fleet renewals
6. Ensuring services are provided within budget and action plans developed and implemented to improve operational efficiencies
