Analyst, Special Situations Private Equity Fund
Location: Onsite, London, West End
Job Type: Permanent
Excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team focused on opportunistic special situations investments across the capital structure. The business is currently expanding its investment portfolio and fund products and is looking to attract bright candidates with experience in private debt and/or equity.
Role Description:
Completing detailed company due diligence in coordination with other members of the Investment Team
Market research for target investments and current portfolio companies
Working closely with other members of the Investment Team on all aspects of transaction execution
Transaction monitoring including direct dialogue with senior management of portfolio companies and managing monthly, quarterly and annual reporting from portfolio companies
Working closely with Operations Team for investment monitoring
Skills:
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
Intellectual curiosity and a passion for investing
Ability to work with minimum supervision and as part of dynamic and entrepreneurial team under tight deadlines
Three to six years’ experience in private equity, leverage finance, real estate finance or other forms of private debt or equity
Significant financial modelling experience. Ability to create financial models from scratch required
Understanding of credit and/or equity documentation and deal execution
European language skills an advantage
The shortlisted candidate for this role will have:
Minimum 3 years’ experience of Private Equity, M&A, Special Situations or Restructuring from an Investment Bank or Boutique
Strong academic record
Outstanding financial modelling experience and ability to build models from scratch
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
