This role involves the repair, overhaul, and maintenance of electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, and associated rotating equipment.
You will take ownership of workshop-based repairs, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while meeting customer deadlines.
Responsibilities: Carry out repair and overhaul of electric motors, pumps, and gearboxes Diagnose faults and perform breakdown repairs on rotating equipment Perform mechanical maintenance, assembly, and refurbishment tasks Ensure all work is completed within agreed deadlines to meet customer expectations Complete all relevant workshop documentation accurately Submit daily timesheets as required Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment Adhere strictly to Health & Safety procedures and PPE requirements Support team members and contribute to overall workshop productivity Be available for overtime and call-out work when required Undertake additional duties within your capabilities as directed by the Workshop Supervisor or Manager Skills & Experience Proven experience repairing and overhauling electric motors, pumps, and gearboxes Strong mechanical fault-finding ability Basic computer literacy Good understanding of workplace safety protocols and PPE requirements Strong communication skills Reliable with excellent timekeeping Flexible approach to working hours when required Team-oriented with a proactive work ethic WR Engineering are the 1 recruitment partner for engineering, manufacturing & technical sales jobs.
