Job Description
We are looking for a Lifting Operations Supervisor (Grade 2A) to join the National Theatre Rigging Team.
Based within the Stage department, this role supports lifting operations across the organisation, working across all three performance venues and other NT spaces. You will be involved in planning and managing show-related lifting operations in consultation with venue rigging teams, production managers, the drawing office, and workshop teams, ensuring safety and efficiency from concept to on-stage realization.
You will oversee performer flying effects, coordinate the installation and commissioning of lifting equipment, and support the development of best practices in work at height and training delivery.
The successful candidate will have the following:
* Technical operational experience in entertainment or theatre rigging, or the wider rigging or lifting equipment industry.
* Thorough knowledge of current health and safety legislation including HSWA and LOLER.
* Training and/or experience in installing lifting equipment and performer flying effects.
* Training and experience working at height.
* Excellent project management skills.
