We’re on the lookout for a Children’s Residential Worker to join our awesome team. This isn’t just a job; it’s a chance to truly make a difference in the lives of children and young people who need someone to believe in them.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Creating a warm, safe, and nurturing home environment.
Supporting kids to reach their full potential whether that’s acing their schoolwork, trying out new hobbies, or simply learning to believe in themselves.
Planning fun activities (think movie nights, baking marathons, or epic treasure hunts!).
Helping young people navigate life’s ups and downs with compassion and care.

What we’re looking for:
A kind, patient, and empathetic soul who truly cares about young people.
Someone who can think on their feet, handle challenges, and celebrate the little wins.
A great listener who knows how to offer support without judgment.
Experience in working with children is a bonus, but we’re also happy to train the right person with the right attitude!
Full manual driving license - there will be outings !

When you'll be working
The house works to a 3 week rolling rota basis. Generally, this means that you would be working a mixture of early (7am-3pm) and late shifts (2pm-10pm) as well as weekly sleepover shifts, although these can change slightly depending on the needs of the young people at the time. And just so you know, you will receive additional payment for any sleepovers.

This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
