Our client, based in Coventry, is currently seeking a skilled CNC Turner to contribute to their growing team.They specialise in complex components for critical industries including oil & gas, nuclear, aerospace, and defence. Our modern facility is equipped with state-of-the-art CNC machines and operates to the highest standards of quality and precision.Role Overview:As a CNC Turner, you’ll be responsible for setting, operating, and editing CNC lathes to produce high-quality components to customer specifications. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, technical knowledge, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.Key Responsibilities:Set up and operate CNC turning machines (multi-axis lathes).Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.Make minor program edits as required (Fanuc, Siemens, or similar controls).Ensure work is completed to tight tolerances and exacting standards.Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments.Work with a variety of materials including stainless steels, Inconel, and specialist alloys.Maintain a clean and safe working environment and follow all health & safety protocols.What We're Looking For:Proven experience as a CNC Turner in a precision engineering environment.Ability to work independently and take ownership of your workload.Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.Competence with measuring tools (micrometers, verniers, bore gauges, etc.).Familiarity with Fanuc or Siemens CNC controls (preferred).Time-served apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (advantageous).Shifts days - Monday to Friday 08;30 - 17:00nights Monday to Thursday 18;00 - 04;30 (nightshift + 1/3 of rate)£13.00 - £20.00 per hour dependant on experience
