The successful applicant will have demonstrable experience working as a diabetes specialist nurse, with proven clinical skills.

Experience in running clinics is essential, ideally within diabetes antenatal, Type 1, YAC, pumps, and/or community spoke clinics.

Strong nurse-led outpatient clinic experience is essential, with either a working knowledge or willingness to learn about developing diabetes technologies.

You will be self-motivated, organized, computer literate, and able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills. You should be committed to service provision while maintaining your own professional development.

Although roles are cross-site, we are particularly looking for someone to support antenatal outpatient clinics at Tunbridge Wells and Maidstone Hospital.

3. Developing evidence-based clinical nursing practices in line with current research and guidelines.
4. Collaborating effectively with colleagues.
5. Establishing clear communication with primary healthcare providers.
6. Participating in research and audit activities.

We are a friendly team that supports new members in our service.

If interested, please contact the Diabetes CNS Lead for more details or to arrange an informal visit.

When completing your application, clearly demonstrate how your skills and experience meet the role criteria, including your specific experience, skills, and knowledge acquired since becoming a DSN/PN or spoke nurse.
