Job Title: Project Delivery Engineer (Hydro)

The Role…

As an integral member of our project and management team, you will play a key role in the end-to-end delivery of hydro projects — from identifying new opportunities through to project execution and close-out. You’ll focus on delivering work scopes efficiently, meeting budget and schedule commitments, and ensuring outstanding customer service, all while maintaining strict adherence to company safety and quality standards.

* Input and assist Project team with development of new and existing Hydro project opportunities, assist generating quotations and estimates by assessing work scope, identifying risks and advising on estimated timescales to deliver
* Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned customers, developing new and existing opportunities, undertaking customer visits for project kick-off meetings with project and site teams across the UK.
* Ownership of customer site communications while project scope is delivered, ensure effective communications between site and project team and actively participate in project close out and lessons learned.
* Understand contracts, read, interpret and implement appropriate controls utilising support from the Project team, responsible for project deliverables from initial work scope timings and costs to final delivery at site whilst managing any changes and variations.
* Proactively manage project costs, seek to improve efficiency and notify project team of any possible risks to project budget & timescales
* Produce Risk Assessment & Method Statements to align with project work scope and the issued work instructions, work with project team to improve quality of information sent to site.
* Work with project team to ensure information, tooling, equipment etc is available on site at required time.
* Ongoing management of site equipment and tooling whilst onsite until safe return
* Onsite support during execution of project work scopes for any manpower, technical or tooling issues across the UK and internationally.

Your skills and experiences:

* Proven experience delivering projects within the hydropower industry, with a strong understanding of sector-specific challenges and solutions
* Qualified to BTEC/HND level in Electrical Engineering, with a solid technical foundation and practical knowledge of electrical systems in large-scale infrastructure
* Demonstrates a strong awareness of the financial and commercial drivers that influence project success, with the ability to balance technical requirements and budget constraints
* Highly motivated, with a strong sense of initiative and a passion for delivering high-quality results
* Customer-centric mindset, focused on building positive relationships and delivering value to clients
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, with a proven ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in fast-paced project environments
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to engage effectively with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders
* Works confidently independently and as part of a team, with the flexibility to adapt to changing project needs
* Actively promotes a culture of Continuous Improvement, seeking out opportunities to enhance processes, performance, and safety
* Ideally possesses experience in team supervision, providing guidance and leadership to ensure smooth execution of project activities
* Willing and able to travel and work on-site across the UK and internationally as required by project commitments
