About The Role
Gleeds Egypt is looking for M&E Assistant Quantity Surveyor/Cost Manager responsible for carrying out quantity surveying of different MEP trades on wider sector of construction projects from early cost advice to settlement of the final account.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in performing quantity take-offs and preparing Bills of Quantities by studying drawings and specification sheets.
* Assist in preparing and presenting order of cost estimates and producing cost plans.
* Assist in valuating construction works and preparing interim and final payment recommendations.
* Assist in valuing changes and variations.
* Support in ensuring that all cost and quantity records are streamlined and properly maintained.
* Assist in delivering high-quality services and ensuring that cost management deliverables meet customers’ requirements and comply with business procedures.
* Assist in assembling contract documentation.
* Support the team in advising on and implementing procurement strategies, risk management, and cost-saving measures.
* Assist in producing and presenting reports to clients.
About You
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
* 1 to 3 years post graduate demonstrable experience in different aspects of quantity surveying and construction methods and materials.
* Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong analytical and logical skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
* Ability to think creatively and identify cost saving opportunities.
* Soundknowledgeand practical experience of cost estimating and cost planning techniques.
* Workingknowledgeof construction procurementstrategies, includingtendering and contractstrategies.
* Be able to work as part of team.
