IT Support Engineer
to join our team and contribute to delivering exceptional technical support and service.
Job Description
As an IT Support Engineer at Edgerate Limited, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our internal teams and external clients. You will play a key role in maintaining and troubleshooting IT systems, resolving technical issues, and ensuring optimal performance of hardware, software, and networks.
Key Responsibilities
Provide first- and second-line technical support to users via phone, email, or on-site
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and servers
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and IT infrastructure
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access within Active Directory and other platforms
Monitor system performance and perform routine maintenance and updates
Escalate complex issues to senior engineers or third-party vendors as needed
Document incidents, problems, and resolutions clearly and accurately
Support network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems
Assist with IT projects, deployments, and upgrades as required
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
Proven experience in an IT support or helpdesk environment
Good knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and networking fundamentals
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to manage tasks independently and prioritize workload
Right to work and reside in the UK
Desirable:
Relevant IT certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, etc.)
Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing systems
Working Hours
Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Monday to Friday
