Service Care Solutions is working alongside a highly regarded law firm, based in the Birmingham area, which is seeking a qualified and experienced Criminal Duty Solicitor to manage a varied caseload of criminal matters, including police station attendances, Magistrates’ Court advocacy, and general criminal defence work.
Salary: £40,000 to £50,000
Key Responsibilities of the Duty Solicitor role:
* Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients at police stations, including attending interviews and advising on rights and procedures.
* Review and assess prosecution evidence to advise clients effectively.
* Represent defendants in Magistrates’ Court, including entering pleas, making bail applications, and delivering mitigation.
