Design & Technology Teacher (Secondary) An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and creative Design & Technology Teacher to join a successful and inclusive secondary school in Harrow. Key Responsibilities • Teach Design & Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4 • Deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons across DT disciplines • Differentiate effectively to support SEND and disadvantaged learners • Plan, assess and mark work in line with curriculum and exam board requirements • Maintain high standards of health & safety in workshops and practical areas • Use assessment data to inform planning and raise attainment • Promote positive behaviour and contribute to student wellbeing • Take part in CPD, departmental meetings and whole-school activities Person Specification Essential • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it • Ability to teach a range of DT subjects at KS3 and KS4 • Strong classroom management and subject knowledge • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education Desirable • GCSE DT teaching experience • Ability to teach Food Technology or another DT specialism • Previous secondary school teaching experience What’s on Offer • Supportive and collaborative working environment • Structured CPD and professional development opportunities • Clear expectations and strong behaviour systems • Excellent work–life balance within the school day Why work via Teach Now?
