Are you an EHORB-registered Environmental Health Officer looking to use your skills in a dynamic, high-impact setting? We're working with a respected Port Health Authority that is expanding its team and seeking a Port Health Officer to support critical biosecurity, food, and feed import controls.
Band F | Locum Contract | Full-Time
Implement and enforce controls for Products of Animal and Non-Animal Origin, fishery products, organic imports, and more
Liaise with UK and international agencies (FSA, APHA, HMRC, EU Commission, etc.)
Conduct inspections, sampling, and quality assurance in line with ISO, FSA, and EU legislation
Lead on investigations, draft enforcement notices, and support legal proceedings where necessary
Provide training and technical guidance to junior and technical staff
BSc or MSc in Environmental Health (CIEH approved)
Experience in Port Health, Environmental Health, or related field
Familiarity with UK/EU food & feed legislation, sampling protocols, and import controls
A UK driving license (fieldwork across sites may be required)
