About the Opportunity: NRL is seeking a skilled Project Engineer for a respected client based in Suffolk. Responsibilities
* Produce and maintain engineering documentation, including quality plans and technical specifications.
* Manage technical queries and support contractor selection and contract placement.
* Review contractor documents, perform feasibility studies, and collaborate with designers and engineering teams.
* Prepare engineering changes and manage associated documentation.
* Act as a test team leader during commissioning activities and ensure projects adhere to safety, timelines, and budgets.
* Work closely with the Project Manager and Construction Manager to support effective project delivery.
Qualifications
* HNC or HND in a relevant engineering discipline.
* Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) qualification.
* Project Engineering experience within a highly regulated industry sector: Nuclear, Defence, Armed Forces/RAF/Marine, Oil & Gas, Petro-Chem, Rail, Construction, Pharmaceutical, etc.
* Familiarity with the full project lifecycle from design to delivery.
* Experience ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards, including CDM regulations.
* Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to gain security clearance.
