Job Description

To be considered for this role, applicants must have prior experience as a lecturer, teacher, tutor, trainer, or instructor in mechanical engineering. While this is primarily a remote position, candidates are also welcome to work on-site at one of the provider’s locations in the heart of Manchester.Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineering Teacher, Lecturer, Trainer, Tutor, or Instructor with a Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline?A training provider is offering an opportunity to deliver Mechanical Engineering courses to students aged 16–19 in the Further Education sector.How You Will WorkTheory-Based Teaching – Deliver the theory components of Mechanical Engineering — including engineering principles, health and safety, mechanical systems, maintenance techniques, and technical drawings — using platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Moodle.Apprenticeship Support – Support apprentices on-site with employers by delivering remote sessions, providing guidance, regular check-ins, and online support to help learners progress through their qualifications.Blended Learning Approach – While the role is primarily remote, the training provider follows a blended model. You may be required to attend in-person sessions once every fortnight for practical assessments or hands-on demonstrations.

All travel expenses for these visits will be covered.What’s on Offer * £26–£50 per hour * 7.5 hours per day, 5 days per week * Term-time only (195 working days per year) * One-year rolling contract, with potential to become permanent * Travel covered for occasional site visits (once every two weeks)Who Can ApplyWe welcome applications from: * Qualified Mechanical Engineering teachers, lecturers, trainers, tutors, or instructorsWhat You’ll Need to Apply * Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field * 3+ years’ experience in a teaching, training, or instructional role * Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearlyEssential Criteria * Available to start in September, with a maximum notice period of one week * Must be currently living in the UK * Must be a UK – this role does not offer sponsorship * Comfortable with online delivery and engaging with learners remotelyHow to ApplyIf you’re interested, click ‘Apply Now’ and ensure your location, email address, and phone number are clearly listed on your CV.Due to the high volume of applications, we cannot respond to everyone.
