About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school in Sheffield. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering tailored education to students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and complex learning difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of SEN students.
Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents to support student progress and well-being.
Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
Monitor and assess student development, adapting strategies as needed.
Contribute to EHCP reviews and maintain accurate records of student achievements and challenges.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Proven experience working with SEN students in an educational setting.
Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and behaviour management.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable:
Experience with sensory integration, communication aids, or immersive learning techniques.
Additional training in autism, Makaton, or Team Teach.
