Job Overview
We are seeking a talented Pizza chef, who can make the dough from scratch to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious meals that meet our high standards of quality and presentation. This role requires both creativity and technical skills, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to the menu and customer preferences.
* Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus and develop new recipes.
* Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
* Assist in training junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
* Serve meals in an appealing manner, ensuring high standards of presentation.
* Adapt recipes to accommodate dietary restrictions or preferences as required.
Experience
* Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting of 2 years plus.
* Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and meal preparation methods.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
* Previous experience in menu planning or recipe development is advantageous.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
