Role Purpose
We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker / Care Manager to join our forward-thinking Adult Social Work Team within a local authority committed to delivering high-quality services. As part of a dynamic multi-agency team, you will play a key role in case management and our duty system while making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals who need our support through assessment, plans and reviews. You will also become a Council Officer and will lead on Adult Support and Protection case work with oversight from our Adult Protection Unit. We are embracing digital transformation, becoming a paperless service and utilising innovative digital technology to complete assessments, enhancing efficiency and accessibility.

Essential
- Ability to work within a statutory framework
- Experience of outcomes focussed approach to assessment
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Clear value base which includes an understanding of non-stigmatising and non-discriminatory practice
- An awareness of issues which relate to older people, adults with disabilities, mental health, people at risk of harm and those at risk of social exclusion
- Negotiation skills and an ability to work in partnership with service users, carers, colleagues and other agencies
- Experience of risk assessments.
