Job Purpose:
To always deliver the highest levels of customer service and foster a culture of excellence within the Branch.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Identify and pick stock items for customers promptly.
2. Load and deliver products professionally and on time.
3. Maintain excellent relationships with customers.
4. Keep accurate records of sales and deliveries.
5. Manage stock levels and inform the manager when stock needs replenishing.
6. Ensure the branch vehicle is in good condition, reporting concerns as needed.
7. Complete daily banking, securing or depositing cash as per procedures.
8. Delegate responsibilities appropriately with accountability and follow-up.
9. Provide cover in the absence of the Branch Manager.
10. Support the Branch Manager in meeting activity standards and maintaining staffing levels.
11. Assist in sales and marketing initiatives.
12. Contribute to the branch action plan to retain existing business and acquire new business.
13. Collaborate with colleagues within the company and community.
14. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and ethics.
15. Assist in training and performance reviews, supporting team development.
16. Maintain high standards and good housekeeping within the branch.
17. Follow safe work systems and use personal safety equipment as required.
Key Experiences and Skills Required:
* Experience in a trade environment.
* Customer service experience.
* Demonstrated high levels of customer service.
* Experience handling cash.
* Full driving license.
Desirable Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
* Good local knowledge and understanding of the local road system.
* Proficient in PC use.
* Ability to listen and follow instructions.
* Knowledge of the construction industry is a plus.
* Ability to work well within a team.
* Experience in team management.
