Commercial Manager role at Aramex.
Responsibilities
* Leads the Sales function in alignment with global commercial strategy.
* Leads a team of Channel Heads in team formation and account allocation.
* Supports, reviews and approves the sales strategies for each business and leads sales projects or initiatives.
* Achieves country sales targets by developing new business with key, high-value clients across multiple industry verticals; retaining existing business; and growing business from existing clients through cross-selling multiple products / logistics solutions.
* Leads customer sales forecasting and establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota for Channels, in support of commercial objectives.
* Oversees the planning, development and implementation of sales activities and programs.
* Articulates sales policy, procedures and guidelines to support strategy implementation.
* Inputs to the annual budget process and monitors performance against it.
* Assists in the completion of RFPs to obtain new projects.
* Monitors business performance against KPIs.
* Defines trainings, coaching and monitoring activities for Commercial teams.
* Develops and maintains organizational capability and participates in talent management.
* Supports a succession planning program to meet channel objectives.
* Performs other related duties to ensure effective functioning of the Commercial Department or company goals.
* Engages in research to expand knowledge of industry trends, best practices, marketing and sales.
* Recommends product lines by identifying opportunities and changes; surveys consumer needs and trends; tracks competitors.
* Coordinates corrective actions to sales programs to achieve targets.
* Networks with peers and internal affiliates to roll out best practices.
* Oversees development of sales strategy: value proposition, market segmentation, strategy and differentiation, market insight, brand strategy and industry trends; ensure alignment with corporate goals and shareholder value.
Job Requirements - Experience and Education
* Bachelor’s degree in business or any other field.
* Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
* At least 10 years sales experience, preferably in related industry.
* Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills.
* Strong customer focus and analytical skills.
