Based from and resident in the Lock-side office and accommodation.
This is a UK Shore-based job with a 2-week on/off rotation. You do not have to live in the UK as accommodation is provided, but you will need a valid Right to Work in the UK. Salary approximately £38,600 per annum.
The department is responsible for the continuous, daily safe movement and berthing of all vessels within the port, berth preparation, and marine structure maintenance, in accordance with the port's policies and procedures required by the Port Marine Safety Code.
Along with the port's Technical Services, the department manages the collection, consolidation, and recycling of ship and port-generated waste products and other port services.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience:
* Must be physically fit
* A valid ENG1 or ML5 medical certificate will be required at all times
The following qualifications and experience would be advantageous but are not limited to:
* Able Seaman certification,
* Efficient Deck Hand CoC,
* MOD (Navy) qualifications,
* Other formal marine qualifications,
* Experience working in a marine environment.
Previous experience working on vessels or in a marine environment is preferred.
