Learning Support Assistant - SEND
* Hourly Rate: £15.55
* Location: Lambeth Campus
* Job Type: Full-time, Term-Time Only (36 weeks)
* Preferred Start Date: 1st September 2025
We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team at the Lambeth Campus. This role is crucial in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), ensuring they receive the tailored assistance they need to thrive in their educational journey.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Provide one-to-one support to students with SEND, helping them to engage with the curriculum and participate in school activities.
* Assist in the preparation of learning materials and the setup of equipment necessary for student participation.
* Work closely with teachers to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
* Support students with their physical or learning disabilities, including aiding in mobility, communication, and understanding instructions.
* Facilitate social integration and encourage students to build relationships with peers.
* Maintain accurate records of students' progress and any issues that arise, reporting back to the relevant staff members.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience in a similar role supporting children or young adults with SEND.
* Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with disabilities and the strategies that can assist them.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a dedicated approach to student development.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
* Enhanced DBS check required.
