Overview
This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing credit control operations across the UK and Ireland, while coordinating credit policy and performance across broader international regions (EMEA, APAC). The position protects financial interests through effective credit risk assessment, management of credit insurance, and development of customer-focused credit strategies that support sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
* Lead and support the credit control team, promoting collaboration with commercial teams.
* Oversee credit risk processes, set credit limits, and manage overdue debt, particularly for key accounts.
* Manage the group’s credit insurance programme.
* Act as a strategic partner to commercial teams, directly engaging with major customers.
* Coordinate credit policy, governance, and reporting across multiple international regions.
Experience & Qualifications
* 10+ years of experience in credit control, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in a multinational B2B environment.
* Experience in manufacturing desirable
* Proven ability to manage complex credit operations across teams and countries.
* Experience managing credit insurance portfolios is essential.
