JewelleryMaker is a live shopping television and ecommerce brand that is focused on selling and showcasing the very best bespoke and developed Jewellery Making product with a focus on genuine gemstones. Daily demonstrations are at the core of everything that Jewellery Maker do, and these are broadcast on all television platforms (Freeview, Sky & Freesat) as well as across our social channels (Facebook, Instagram & TikTok). Community is at the heart of everything we do, and we pride ourselves on creating the best possible products, sharing the most inspirational demonstrations and you our customer wearing your incredible handmade jewellery.
We're looking for a commercially-minded and creative Junior Buyer to join our team. You'll play a key role in shaping our jewellery-making product range, placing timely and profitable orders and helping us stay ahead in a fast moving market. This role is perfect for someone who’s passionate about product development, understands how to deliver strong margins, and thrives on building strong supplier relationships.
Work as part of a team to:
• Be the category and customer expert, staying ahead of trends and customer preferences
• Develop and source innovative products that meet pricing, margin and quality targets
• Build and maintain product ranges that support category growth
• Monitor trading performance and recommend actions to drive profitable results
• Manage day-to-day relationships with UK and Far East suppliers
• Negotiate costs and ensure product quality and delivery timelines are met
• Work with sales, marketing and kit team to deliver successful launches and campaigns
• Provide product knowledge to support marketing content and educational materials
Duties will change and colleague’s will be required to perform other duties within the team as assigned so flexibility is crucial.
Essential Skills:
• 2+ years' experience within a commercial/creative/buying role, preferably within a customer focused retailer.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with a track record of building internal and supplier relationships.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work both as a team and independently.
• A passion and drive for learning.
• Flexible to change
Salary - £28-30,000 per annum
Full time permanent role working Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week
Working minimum of 3 days on site (flexibility is essential)
