Our client, a leading UK charity organisation, is seeking a qualified accountant to join their Financial Planning and Reporting team as a Finance Business Partner. This role will provide high-level financial support to colleagues within the Income and Conservation Investment Directorate — specifically focusing on operations in England.
As Finance Business Partner, you’ll play a key role in supporting the organisation’s conservation delivery and reserves network. You’ll work closely with senior colleagues to provide strategic financial insight, foster strong business partnering relationships, and ensure financial planning and reporting align with operational and organisational goals.

Responsibilities:
* Partner with senior management to provide financial insight, challenge assumptions, and support decision-making across the Directorate.
* Deliver high-quality management accounting, financial planning, and reporting to guide strategic and operational performance.
* Build strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a critical friend — providing both challenge and support.
* Contribute to financial forecasting, budgeting, and investment appraisals to support organisational priorities.
* Provide financial advice and analysis on new initiatives, organisational restructures, and risk management strategies.
* Communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial colleagues, ensuring alignment and understanding.
* Develop financial capability in managers through coaching, mentoring, and effective reporting tools.
* Collaborate with other finance teams to implement new initiatives and continuously improve finance processes and systems.
* Work under pressure to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of accuracy and service delivery.
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
* Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
* Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience in management accounting and business partnering.
* Proven ability to influence and challenge senior leaders with sound financial reasoning and diplomacy.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Ability to interpret complex or incomplete financial information and recommend effective courses of action.
* Experience analysing financial trends and modelling potential impacts on organisational performance.
* Track record of contributing to transformational projects and delivering financial insight to support change.
* Skilled in developing financial understanding among non-financial colleagues.
Desirable:
* Experience in financial forecasting and planning in a dynamic, evolving environment.
* Background in transformation or change management initiatives.
