Job Description:
Surbiton High School invites applications for the position of Peripatetic Cello Teacher. This presents an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant, innovative, and successful department dedicated to nurturing a passion for music in a lively and stimulating setting.
Start Date: September 2024
Tenure: Permanent, Part-time. Currently 1.5 hours of teaching per week, plus two hours for the Boys’ Prep String Programme during the SPRING term. Teaching day: Monday.
Music is central to Surbiton High School. The department performs at over 60 school events annually, with more than 25 staff and over 500 lessons weekly. All pupils in Years 2-9 receive weekly music lessons, learning various genres and instruments, including violin and cello in small group settings in Years 3 and 5.
