Job Description: Job Title: Quality Inspector Department: Quality Reporting To: Quality Manager Location: stitchley Working Hours: Days (05:55 14:00) Hours may be flexed to meet customer or business needs Role Overview The Quality Inspector supports the quality function by ensuring adherence to company procedures, maintaining high standards, and promoting a proactive, positive approach to quality across all operations. Key ResponsibilitiesFirewall Create firewall inspection instructions based on customer issues Inspect all parts through firewall processes Record non-conforming (NOK) parts in NAV with correct codes Collect and manage data for weekly QC reporting Support on-site containment activities when issues arise GP12 (Controlled Inspection Process) Generate GP12 inspection documentation Monitor GP12 activity ensuring parts are signed off as OK/NOK Report issues to the Quality Manager Produce GP12 reports Provide product samples (OK/NOK) when required Goods Inward Control (GIC) Create inspection instructions ensuring products meet specifications/drawings Perform daily inspection checks against targets Maintain GIC register for accurate reporting Escalate any concerns to the Quality Manager General Duties Perform first-off and last-off checks in line with DVA requirements Inspect parts using IMD machinery when required Raise RONs (Quality Alerts) where necessary Support 8D problem-solving activities Conduct process, layered, and despatch audits Assist shop floor with product quality issues Carry out occasional off-site inspections Record scrap data in NAV Monitor scrap bins and ensure correct labelling Review scrap trolley daily Support other departments as needed General Responsibilities Adhere to company quality standards and procedures Promote and maintain Health & Safety compliance Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Behavioural Competencies Teamwork: Collaborate across departments and shifts Personal Development: Actively build quality knowledge and skills Continuous Improvement: Strive to enhance processes and performance Quality Focus: Maintain high standards in all activities Open to Challenge: Approach problems constructively Positive Attitude: Adaptable, proactive, and solution-oriented Personal Attributes Calm under pressure Strong attention to detail Positive and approachable attitude Good communication skills Reliable timekeeping and attendance Willingness to support and improve the business Job Type: Temp to perm Experience: of firewall or containment process: 1 year (preferred) with GP12 or controlled inspection processes: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: In person
