Reportsto: Senior Vice President Sales and Business Development

TheTechnical Account Manager will work as a key part of the Sales team to createwinning security audio solutions that deliver customer value and aretechnically viable and profitable for the company. You will support the growthof our client’s ‘Transportation Solutions’ business unit by providing support /training to the Sales team and to customers in the Rail Infrastructure, RailRolling Stock, Tunnel and Airport vertical markets. You will be responsible forunderstanding which company products / solutions are best fit for purpose forcustomers across these markets based on their technical requirements and willplay a key role in ensuring the design of proposed products / solutions alignclosely with these. This will involve working closely with the Bid team toensure compliance with specifications and the delivery of accurate and timelyquotations and bids.

KeyResponsibilities

·Be the Sales team'stechnical solution expert; understand all existing and upcoming products andsolutions and introduce these both internally (to the Sales team, Project team andother teams) and externally (to customers) in different ways to fitrequirements from the market

·Work closely with thecompany's Product Management team to get all needed product and solutioninformation in order to keep the Sales team and customers up to date on anyimportant changes in the company’s offering

·Ensure unique sellingpoints of company products and solutions are up to date and frequentlycommunicated to the Sales team and customers, especially new things

·Make internal andexternal powerpoints, application sheets and other commercial documentation tosupport the above

·Know competition welland understand who the company is up against; be aware of the main gaps thatneed to be filled in the company’s product / solution portfolio compared totheir most important competitors

·Liaise with strategicend customers and specifiers / A&Es to influence requirements and drivesupplier preference both in the UK and globally

·Take on some direct accountmanagement responsibilities for selected accounts as the business grows and as you,the team and Management see fit

·Produce accurate anddetailed quotations, presentations and system proposals for project bids

·Maintain regularcontact with selected customers to provide company, product and service updatesto them in conjunction with training or bids in close cooperation with responsibleAccount Managers

·Ensure businesssolutions are aligned with goals, strategy and priorities

KeySkills Required

·Excellent team player

·Very well-structuredwith an eye for detail

·Self-driven andmotivated

·Excellent Englishlanguage skills

·Good computer skills /experience using MS Office applications ( advanced Excel, Word)

·Engineeringbackground with commercial interest and skills

·Customer-focused andrevenue-driven

·Analytical approachto solving problems

·Ability to travelboth within the UK and globally

·Experience using CRM systems(ideally Dynamics 365)

·Familiarity withVisio and AutoCAD

Knowledgeand Experience Required

·Minimum of 2 years’ experienceworking within technical support / bid support

·Experience in thedesign, estimating and bid management of system-based projects

·Demonstrable mix of technicaland commercial understanding

·Existing knowledge ofPAVA systems design and implementation on major international projects

·Knowledge of other IPtelecom systems and integrations ( telephones, intercoms / help points, passengerinformation displays, CCTV, control systems, IP speakers etc.)

·Transportationindustry experience

Education& Qualifications

·Bachelor's degree orequivalent in a technical field

·Diploma in Acousticsadvantageous
