Your Role as Paid Social Director
As the Paid Social Director for H&M, you will have senior strategic, operational and activation ownership of paid social across H&M’s largest global region. You will be responsible for defining the regional vision for paid social and driving best in class performance at scale.
You will lead a London based team of three Paid Social specialists, supported by delivery and activation resources in PGD India, ensuring seamless collaboration, clear ways of working, and consistently high standards across strategy, execution, and reporting.
This role sits at the intersection of strategy, leadership, and commercial accountability, with responsibility for translating H&M’s brand and business objectives into impactful, full funnel paid social programmes across multiple markets.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Client Partnership
* Own and lead the regional paid social activation and strategy for H&M’s largest region, aligning local execution with global frameworks while responding to regional business priorities.
* Act as the senior paid social lead on the account, building strong relationships with senior H&M stakeholders and representing paid social in high level performance discussions.
* Translate complex business and brand objectives into clear, scalable paid social roadmaps across key platforms.
* Champion innovation, testing, and new opportunities across platforms, formats, and audience strategies.
Team & Resource Leadership
* Line manage, coach, and develop a team of Paid Social specialists in London, supporting career progression, performance, and wellbeing.
* Oversee and integrate PGD India resources, ensuring clear briefs, efficient workflows, and consistent quality of output across markets.
* Set clear standards for strategic thinking, execution, and communication across the full team.
* Foster a collaborative, high performance team culture aligned with Zenith’s leadership principles.
Performance, Investment & Measurement
* Own regional investment oversight, including forecasting, pacing, and performance evaluation across multiple markets.
* Ensure robust fullfunnel measurement frameworks are in place, with a clear focus on effectiveness, efficiency, and business impact.
* Lead performance narratives, delivering clear insights and recommendations that support confident client decisionmaking.
* Drive continuous improvement through structured testing, learning agendas, and optimisation best practice.
CrossFunctional & Global Collaboration
* Work closely with channel leads across Search, Programmatic, and Cross-Channel Performance to deliver integrated performance strategies.
* Collaborate with global H&M and Zenith teams to share learnings, align on best practice, and influence wider paid social frameworks.
* Partner with creative and platform teams to shape creative strategy, testing approaches, and innovation at scale.
Governance & Excellence
* Set and uphold bestinclass standards across paid social strategy, activation, reporting, and operational governance.
* Ensure brand safety, platform compliance, and process excellence across all markets.
* Continuously refine ways of working between London, PGD India, and external partners to improve efficiency and impact.
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring
* Extensive experience leading large-scale paid social accounts, ideally within retail or fashion and across multiple markets.
* Proven experience operating at director level, owning strategy, investment, and senior client relationships.
* Strong peoplemanagement experience, including leading onshore teams and offshore delivery models.
* Deep expertise across major paid social platforms (Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat) with a fullfunnel mindset, with a focus on performance campaigns.
* Strong commercial acumen, with confidence in forecasting, performance evaluation, and strategic investment decisions.
* Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
* A collaborative, solutions focused leadership style and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
