Orion is hiring a proactive, detail driven Buyer to keep fast moving manufacturing lines supplied with the right electro-mechanical components from metalwork and electronics to specialist electrical items.

Key Responsibilities of this Buyer position:
* Own the purchasing cycle: source quotes, evaluate suppliers, and raise POsfast.
* Protect uptime: monitor delivery schedules and prevent production delays.
* Guard quality: ensure materials meet strict specification and compliance standards.
* Fix issues early: resolve pricing errors, late deliveries, and non-conformance quickly.
* Chase & expedite track shipments and follow up proactively with suppliers.
* Stay audit ready: keep POs, files, and records organised for full traceability
Experience & Requirements of this Buyer position:
1. Minimum 5 years experience in a Buyer or Purchasing role within engineering or manufacturing.
2. Confident negotiation skills and clear, professional communication.
3. Hands on experience with MRP/ERP/SAP systems.
4. Electromechanical purchasing experience (highly desirable).
