Overview
Here at South Thames Colleges Group, we are seeking a Security Manager to oversee staff and systems that provide security services across our six campuses in South London. The role involves leading security teams to deliver a high quality and consistent service, conducting and updating security risk assessments, monitoring security systems, and ensuring security arrangements operate in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage security staff and systems across all six campuses to provide a high quality and consistent security service.
* Undertake and maintain updated security risk assessments and implement improvements as necessary.
* Monitor security systems and ensure security arrangements and teams comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
* Provide leadership and direction to ensure the security team is proactive and effective in safeguarding students, staff and visitors.
* Review and maintain emergency response procedures, including evacuation plans, fire drills and lockdown procedures.
* Act as a key point of contact for security concerns, offering advice and resolution strategies to the Director of Facilities.
Requirements
* Excellent security management experience.
* Ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels within and outside of the Group.
* Ability to establish credibility with managers and understand business needs; able to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary and Benefits
£47,737 - £52,250 per annum, plus up to 50 days +
