Gi Group Scunthorpe is recruiting for a Forklift / Production Operator to join our customer's team, based in Gainsborough. Our client is a leading global business in the ingredients, taste, and nutrition food sector, and this position offers a rare opportunity to work within their dynamic team.
This is a temporary position ideal for candidates who have a valid Counterbalance licence and experience in food manufacturing or machine operation.
Hours of Work for Forklift / Production Operator:
Varies between departments:
* 4 on 4 off, consisting of 2 day shifts and 2 night shifts
* Rotating mornings, afternoons, and nights (8-hour shifts), with flexibility required for occasional 12-hour shifts
Rate of Pay for Forklift / Production Operator:
Pay varies between departments. Confirmed rates will be discussed during registration. Overtime is regularly available.
Key Attributes for Forklift / Production Operator:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
* Valid Counterbalance licence with recent operating experience
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions
* Willingness to work in a fast-paced food production environment (low risk)
* Flexible and adaptable approach to workplace tasks
* Previous experience in food manufacturing (essential)
* Previous experience in extrusions or machine operative roles (advantageous)
Your Role as a Forklift / Production Operator:
* Perform general warehouse and production duties such as boxing, product wrapping, and dropping loads for production or finished products
* After familiarisation, receive training to upskill into machine operation duties
