The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Care Home Manager to take the lead in the day-to-day running of our home. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance with regulatory requirements (CQC), and creating a supportive and happy workplace for staff and residents alike.
Duties
* Oversee the daily operations of the care home, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for residents.
* Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to the needs of each resident, including those with dementia and Alzheimer's care requirements.
* Supervise and manage staff, providing leadership and support to ensure high-quality care delivery.
* Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and adjust care plans accordingly.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
* Administer medications as required, maintaining accurate records of medication administration.
* Foster a positive atmosphere within the home, encouraging social interaction and engagement among residents.
* Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate care services.
Skills
* Proven experience as a Care Home Manager or Deputy Manager in a similar setting
* A strong understanding of CQC regulations and adult social care legislation
* NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care or equivalent (or working towards it)
* Excellent management skills with prior supervising experience in a healthcare environment.
* Ability to develop comprehensive care plans that meet individual resident needs.
* Strong leadership qualities, fostering teamwork and collaboration among staff members.
* Proficient in medication administration procedures and record keeping.
* Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with an empathetic approach to resident interactions.
