Job Title: Bookkeeper Location: Barlaston Salary: £33,000 - £35,000 (DOE) Hours: Part-time or Full-time (4-5 days per week) On-site / office-based Working Pattern: Very flexible hours, can be worked around school hours Benefits: Standard company benefits plus on-site parking Overview We are currently seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join a busy and supportive team based in Barlaston. This is a flexible role offering an excellent work‑life balance, with hours that can be tailored around school commitments. Key Responsibilities Carry out the full credit control function, resolving queries and managing aged debt Reconcile banking transactions, producing accurate reports Reconcile sales and purchase ledgers and report on variances Manage end‑to‑end payroll, including: Processing payments Managing absenteeism Ensuring compliance with the Pension Act Submitting returns to HMRC Ensure the Finance Department remains compliant with ISO9001, as well as company policies and procedures Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records within the HR system Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety policies and procedures Skills & Experience Required Proven experience in a Bookkeeper or similar finance role AAT Level 3 qualified or Qualified by Experience (QBE) Strong working knowledge of Sage Line 50 and Excel Experience handling payroll and statutory compliance High attention to detail with strong organisational skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities What's on Offer Salary between £33,000 - £35,000 Highly flexible working hours Option to work 4 or 5 days per week Supportive working environment On-site parking If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV.
