Social Worker - Permanence Team
The Permanence Team is seeking a Social Worker to support children looked after by the Local Authority with adoption care plans, ensuring they achieve long-term stability. You'll build positive, meaningful relationships with children, families, and carers, keeping each child at the centre of planning and decision-making.
We're looking for someone with experience working with looked after children - whether in a LAC team, safeguarding, court work, or similar areas of children's services. This is a fast-paced role where you'll work closely with the Children in Care Service and partner agencies to deliver the best outcomes for our young people.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake court work and contribute to permanency planning.
* Use evidence-based interventions with children, families, and carers.
* Manage a varied caseload, responding to duty and prioritising effectively.
* Build strong working relationships and respond appropriately to conflict.
* Work autonomously while seeking guidance where needed.
* Prepare high-quality reports, including CPRs (Child Permanence Reports).
About You
* Qualified Social Worker (degree/diploma) registered with Social Work England.
* Experience working with Children in Care and familiarity with adoption processes.
* Motivated, organised, and committed to ongoing professional development.
* This role requires an enhanced DBS and Barred List check.
