The successful HSE Manager will be easily able to commute to HUDDERSFIELD from surrounding towns & cities, including Leeds, Dewsbury, Halifax, Wakefield and Brighouse.
Key Responsibilities of the HSE Manager will include:
1. Implement the organisation's Health & Safety Policy consistently, monitoring and improving HSE practices and recommending upgrades to the Managing Director.
2. Lead HSE governance by chairing meetings, issuing agendas/minutes, preparing monthly/annual accident statistics, and providing technical HSE support.
3. Oversee robust inductions, mandatory accident/near?miss reporting, thorough investigations and completion of corrective actions.
4. Identify, deliver and coordinate all regulatory HSE training and occupational health requirements, working closely with department heads.
5. Provide expert HSE advice, coaching and support to all staff and managers, ensuring safe systems of work and addressing unsafe practices or equipment.
