As an Engineering Manager / Workshop Manager will be responsible for overseeing projects and production operations, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery. You’ll manage equipment, materials, compliance, documentation, and daily site activities, supervising a team while working closely with the General Manager. This role is based is Avonmouth, with some travel required.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee projects and supervise production staff and subcontractors, ensuring quality, safety, and punctuality.
* Manage all aspects of projects from quotation through to completion, maintaining timelines and budgets.
* Achieve outstanding customer satisfaction and foster long-term client relationships.
* Support the General Manager in driving sales and developing new business opportunities.
* Monitor and procure consumables, equipment, and materials to prevent production delays.
* Communicate effectively with customers to align project goals and expectations.
* Ensure high standards of work practises across all work areas.
* Visit client sites to carry out surveys and assist with project quotations.
* Prepare, implement, and monitor safety and quality documentation, ensuring team compliance.
Requirements:
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional and clear approach.
* IOSH Managing Safely certification (preferred).
* Experience within marine, welding or civil engineering.
* Able to travel as required.
* Hold a Full UK driving licence.
* Have the full rights to work within the UK
* Strong organisational and leadership skills.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
* Proven management experience with the ability to motivate and lead teams.
* Must be able to Travel and work in Avonmouth
