Sales Manager - Masterbatch


Our client- a global leader that develops and manufactures high-quality additives, compounds, and color masterbatches for the plastics industry is seeking a Sales Manager to join their expanding commercial team in the UK.


As a Sales Manager, you will play a key role in driving expansion by spearheading direct selling efforts, increasing income and revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, and qualifying prospects.


You will drive and grow sales and margin through the development and management of new and existing businesses, forming strategic partnerships, and identifying new trends and product applications.


The role would report directly to the VP of Sales – EMEA, close collaboration with the Regional Director and the VP of Sales EMEA to support the company's broader commercial goals.


Major responsibilities:


• Managing the direct selling efforts and achieving planned sales, revenue, and objectives within his area.

• To develop strategies for continued growth consistent with the overall objectives of the organization.

• Develop yearly sales goals, objectives, and specific strategies and plans to meet and/or exceed those goals.

• Develop budgets and business plans for the area.

• To visit customers and conduct routine customer meetings as needed.

• Call on potential accounts to ensure the continued growth of the company.

• Review the actual sales and expenses versus the budget with the VP of Sales to identify problem areas; recommend and implement corrective action when necessary.

• Submit routine reports (monthly summary of activities, call reports, expense reports, etc.).

• Select and recommend training programs to continually improve personal knowledge of the latest sales techniques, improve technical knowledge, and product knowledge.

• Provide revised sales forecasts if needed.

• Manage pricing policies established by the VP of Sales and maintain special pricing within these guidelines according to product, quantity and customer considerations.

• Advise corporate management of industry trends, current resin pricing, competitive activity, and all other pertinent intelligence.

• To have intimate knowledge of the market: competition, products, and services required.


Requirements:


• Bachelor’s degree, BA/BS in a related technical discipline, is a plus.

• Must: Minimum 7+ years of experience in Sales and/or Business Development in the plastics industry with practical knowledge of the masterbatch industry.

• Must: Strong knowledge of business and sales growth techniques

• Must: Good knowledge of spoken and written English

• Self-motivated team builder with an outgoing dynamic personality, a proven track record in Sales, good organizational skills, a persevering challenge seeker, creative, and flexible.

• Willingness to travel as needed
