Role Summary
This is a sales and account management position focused on selling IT products and services. The core objective is to generate new business and service existing clients to meet company profit targets. The role requires a blend of sales skills, technical knowledge, and administrative diligence.
Key Responsibilities
* Sales & Client Management: Actively prospect for new customers using various channels (phone, email, social media) and manage the needs of existing clients to achieve the company's Gross Profit (GP) target.
* Quoting & Procurement: Create competitive price quotes for customers by sourcing the best possible prices from suppliers and manufacturers to maximize profit margins. Utilize industry practices like "Stock in the channel," "deal registration," and "special bids."
* Technical Knowledge: Maintain and continuously update knowledge of the IT products, technologies, and services offered by the company.
* Order Processing: Manage the sales cycle from quotation to fulfilment by processing customer orders and generating the corresponding purchase orders.
* Systems & Tools: Become proficient in using all internal company systems and software to perform the job efficiently.
Candidate Requirements (Minimum & Provable)
* Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant IT sales, business development, or account management role.
* Proven Performance: A demonstrable track record of consistently generating a minimum monthly Gross Profit (GP) of £10,000.
Work Conditions & Terms
* Location: This role is flexible and can be based either at our office in Northampton (or be predominantly home-based. Employees working from home are required to attend the office a minimum of one day per month.
* Hours: Standard business hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. The role may require occasional work outside of these hours to meet client needs.
