The role of Administrator in the retail industry involves providing essential secretarial and business support to ensure smooth daily operations. This temporary position is based in Birmingham and requires strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Client Details This opportunity is with a small-sized organisation in the retail industry based in Birmingham seeking a temporary Administrator. The company focuses on delivering quality products and efficient services to its customers. Description Process purchase orders by creating, reviewing, and issuing them to suppliers in line with stock requirements and company policies Liaise with vendors to confirm order details, lead times, and delivery schedules Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure timely replenishment Maintain supplier price lists, negotiate pricing, and monitor contract terms to ensure cost efficiency Track outstanding orders and expedite urgent shipments when necessary Match supplier invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes, flag discrepancies, and coordinate with accounts payable Maintain accurate purchasing records and prepare periodic reports on purchasing activity, costs, and supplier performance Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company procedures, legal requirements, and quality standardsProfile A successful Administrator should have: Previous experience in an administrative or secretarial role. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong organisational and multitasking abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work. The ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Experience with some kind of creative design would be beneficial but is not essential. Fluent communication in either Hindi or Punjabi is beneficial bus is not essential.Job Offer Salary of approximately £27000 - £31000 per annum Temp to perm Prospects for progression An opportunity to gain experience in the retail industry.
