Mechanical Technician Power Station Up to £48,000 benefits Gloucestershire SCINERGY Recruitment are recruiting for a Mechanical Technician to join the maintenance department of an energy from waste power station near Gloucester. This role focuses on delivering safe, reliable mechanical maintenance across the plant, supporting availability, efficiency and long-term asset performance. The successful candidate will work closely with operations and engineering teams to ensure all mechanical equipment is maintained to a high standard. The role will involve: Planned and reactive mechanical maintenance on rotating and static plant equipment Maintenance and overhaul of pumps, valves, gearboxes, conveyors, compressors and associated systems Carrying out fault-finding, defect rectification and first-line repairs Completing maintenance activities in line with site procedures, permits and isolation requirements Updating maintenance records and work orders within the CMMS Supporting outages and shutdown activities as required Working alongside specialist contractors and equipment vendors Maintaining high standards of health, safety, environmental compliance and housekeeping To be considered for this role, you should have: A recognised mechanical qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) with a completed apprenticeship Experience working in an industrial or process environment such as biomass, power generation, CHP, EfW or marine engineering from the Navy Strong mechanical fault-finding and maintenance experience Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary site team A strong understanding of safe systems of work and permit-to-work procedures Whats on offer: Competitive salary up to £48,000 Company pension Overtime Ongoing training and development For further information or to apply please contact Steve Utton at SCINERGY Recruitment on 07441 955 901
