Job Specification: Solution Architect - Dynamics 365 Business Central (Pre-Sales)

Salary: £80,000 + Uncapped commission

Location: Crawley (hybrid)


About the Role

We are seeking a Dynamics 365 Business Central Solution Architect (Pre-Sales) to play a pivotal role in shaping, designing, and presenting tailored ERP solutions for clients. This is a client-facing position where you will engage with stakeholders to understand their business needs, translate requirements into solution designs, and work closely with sales and delivery teams to ensure successful outcomes.

You will act as the bridge between technical capability and commercial value - helping prospects and clients envision the benefits of Business Central while ensuring solutions are scalable, practical, and aligned with best practice.


Key Responsibilities

* Lead discovery sessions with clients and prospects to capture business processes, challenges, and requirements.

* Design solution architectures for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central that deliver measurable value to SMEs and mid-market clients.

* Support pre-sales engagements, including product demonstrations, proof of concepts, and responses to RFPs.

* Translate complex technical capabilities into clear business value propositions for senior stakeholders.

* Act as a trusted advisor, guiding clients on ERP best practices, integration opportunities, and digital transformation strategies.

* Collaborate with technical consultants and project managers to ensure solution designs are feasible and align with delivery methodology.

* Build and maintain strong relationships with Microsoft and other strategic partners.

* Represent the organisation at industry events, webinars, and networking opportunities.


Required Skills & Experience

* Proven track record as a Solution Architect, Pre-Sales Consultant, or similar role within ERP, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

* Deep technical knowledge of Dynamics 365 BC, including configuration, integration, and extension capabilities.

* Strong ability to map client requirements to Business Central features and design tailored solutions.

* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging senior business stakeholders.

* Ability to simplify technical concepts into clear, outcome-driven narratives.

* Experience working with SMEs and mid-market clients across various industries.

* Consultative, client-first mindset with a passion for digital transformation.


Desirable

* Microsoft certifications in Dynamics 365 Business Central or related technologies.

* Familiarity with Power Platform, Azure services, or the wider Microsoft ecosystem.

* Experience working in a Microsoft Partner environment.
