Chef de Partie – Job Description
Position Summary
The Chef de Partie is a vital member of the kitchen brigade, responsible for running a specific section and ensuring that all dishes leaving the kitchen meet the highest standards of quality, presentation, and consistency. Working closely with the Junior Sous Chef and Sous Chef, the CDP maintains smooth service, supervises junior chefs, and plays a key role in delivering an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and oversee a designated section of the kitchen (e.g., grill, sauce, larder, pastry) with precision and consistency.
* Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
* Train, guide, and support Commis Chefs to help them develop their skills.
* Ensure mise-en-place is complete and service runs smoothly during busy periods.
* Maintain strict food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards in line with HACCP and company policy.
* Monitor stock rotation, minimise waste, and report shortages to senior chefs.
* Collaborate with the team to support smooth operations across all kitchen sections.
* Assist with new menu development and contribute creative ideas when required.

Pay: £15.00-£17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
