Bank Physiotherapy Technician - Springfield Hospital – Bank Hours
Under the guidance of the orthopaedic outpatient therapy team you will complete initial therapy assessments, provide interventions and facilitate discharge planning for a designated caseload of patients. You will also support the team with administrative duties and participate in the delivery of group exercise and rehabilitation treatment programmes. The Department offers a structured in-service training programme with regular clinical supervision, mentoring and peer group support.
Responsibilities
* Complete initial therapy assessments and provide interventions for a designated caseload of patients under supervision.
* Facilitate discharge planning and contribute to group exercise and rehabilitation programmes.
* Support the therapy team with administrative duties as required.
* Collaborate with a range of experienced staff as part of a wider multidisciplinary team on the ward.
* Contribute to a positive learning environment and participate in the department’s in-service training and supervision activities.
What you’ll bring
* Ability to organise and prioritise independently.
* Ability to maintain judgement under pressure.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Understanding of the Private sector would be an advantage.
* Flexibility to work weekend shifts as required to meet the needs of the hospital.
Where you will be based
Our hospital is located on the outskirts of Chelmsford with free onsite parking. Outreach clinics in Southend and Brentwood enable access to expert consultants and diagnostics close to home. We work with over 200 experienced consultants locally, most of whom also have substantive NHS posts. Our consultants are supported by a team of nursing staff and a Resident Medical Officer on site 24 hours a day.
