We’re partnering exclusively with a long-established, £150m turnover manufacturing and distribution group, a true industry leader with strong commercial operations, global supply chains, and a reputation for getting things done.
They’re now looking for a Financial Controller who can bring clarity, control, and confidence to the finance function someone with the ambition and technical strength to become the right hand to the Group FD.
This is a hands-on, high-visibility role perfect for someone who wants real ownership, influence, and long-term progression within a stable and respected group.
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
* Production of monthly management accounts and group financial reporting
* Daily cashflow forecasting and financial control
* Oversight of payroll, VAT, corporation tax and statutory submissions
* Managing a small, capable finance team and driving best practice
* Year-end audit prep and liaison with external auditors
* FX payments, shipping costs, stock audits, and letters of credit
* Supporting reporting across the group, including property investments
* Enhancing reporting and systems using Excel and internal platforms
What You’ll Bring:
* ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
* Solid technical background with a commercial mindset
* Detail-driven but always thinking one step ahead
* Confident working independently and supporting senior leadership
* Advanced Excel skills; keen to optimise reporting
* Experience in manufacturing, distribution or product-led sectors is ideal
* Eager to contribute beyond the numbers and influence wider business decisions
